Building Surveys
A detailed, good value survey, designed in our own easy to read but comprehensive format, which is suitable for all properties, but essential for those which are:
- older and/or Listed
- unusual or non-traditionally built
- dilapidated
- extensively altered or extended
- have known or suspected problems
It is an investigation and assessment of the construction and condition of the building, based on an in-depth inspection of the whole property, though without causing damage to the building.
The inspection and report will include:
- room by room analysis
- all component parts of the structure and fabric
- a visual check of services
- accessible sub floor and roof voids
- grounds and outbuildings
- advice on problems and remedial works
- environmental and other relevant matters
- market and insurance valuations, if required
- full photographic coverage
The Building Survey can be tailored to a client's specific needs and individual requirements, for example where a conversion, alteration or renovation is planned.
Old, Listed and historic buildings demand a different approach to their repair and maintenance, and the RICS recommends that surveys should be carried out by specialist surveyors. We are qualified to provide this service.
